FAQs

Why Choose Bellflower Racing?

Unlike some racing syndicates, we are offering true ownership schemes for specific horses. We pride ourselves on the quality of service we offer and put personal contact and service excellence as our priority. The Bellflower team can always be contacted to find out the latest news or to arrange a visit to the yard. We will call you personally to let you know important news, race entries for your horse and developments on and off the track

How do I join a Bellflower Racing Syndicate?

Visit the 'Join a Syndicate' section of the website and choose from the horses that are currently available for Syndication. Simply give us a call on +44 (0)1606 301 615 or email us on partners@bellflowerracing.com. Following this we can arrange for potential owners to meet the horses and get a feel for what membership of a Bellflower Racing Syndicate can offer.

Am I committed to stay with a Bellflower Racing Syndicate for a certain period of time?

The partnership terms may vary. However usually there will be a 2-year term of ownership. We ask people to commit to the whole period to enable us to keep the stability of the syndicate and to build a close ownership group.

Will I make money out of the syndicate?

It is possible. Bellflower Racing has a policy of only owning horses that have a genuine chance of winning. However, when you purchase a share in any of our racehorses, you should not view it as a financial investment but for sharing in the enjoyment of the horse. Winnings and other income will be distributed to partners at regular intervals in proportion to their shares as will proceeds from the sale of the horse at the end of the syndicate term.

Will I receive gambling tips?

We are an ownership scheme. We do not offer betting or gambling tips. You may pick up some useful information on your stable visits but this is just a bonus.

How do I know where the money has gone?

To ensure transparency, accounts will be provided for partners each year the syndicate operates. This will fully inform partners of all expenditure and income including prize money, sponsorship, bloodstock proceeds etc. Winnings and other income will be distributed to partners at regular intervals in proportion to their shares as will proceeds from the sale of the horse at the end of the syndicate term.

It is intended that the partnership will be sponsored by Bellflower Construction Limited and will be registered for the purposes of VAT. The cost of membership reflects the recoverability of VAT by the partnership.

What is the legal structure of the partnership?

Each partnership is registered with the British Horseracing Board and operates within their guidelines. The number of shares available in each partnership varies. For all partnerships the two nominated partners will be representatives of Bellflower Racing Limited. A draft partnership agreement is included with our information pack. Please call us on +44 (0)1606 301 615 or email to partners@bellflowerracing.com for this information.

Is there a contract?

All owners will sign a partnership agreement outlining their benefits and our responsibilities. These have been drawn up by an industry specialist and are available for inspection by phoning us on +44 (0)1606 301 615 or email to partners@bellflowerracing.com for this information

What about decision making?

The partnership will have a management committee which will meet frequently and significant decisions affecting a partnership will be discussed with all owners and their views taken into account.
